The “EIT Raw Materials: 2nd Greek Raw Materials Community Dialogue” program includes several invited high-level speakers from EU and Greece. These talks will set the current state in the Greek and EU raw materials sector, address the Knowledge Triangle (academia, research, industry) in political level, present tools and initiatives in EU and Greece that act as facilitators for the sector, examine the innovation needs in Knowledge Triangle and governance, and present the background and foreground of Regional Center Greece.
A central target of the event is to announce the establishment of the Regional Center Greece and setting the framework for future actions. Regional Center Greece, is the first attempt of EIT Raw Materials (KIC) to establish a hub in a RIS country, Greece, and will act as role model Hub to deliver relevant experience for best practice in other Hubs. The scope is to engage and stimulate the Greek Raw Materials Community in a single point and act as a one-stop shop through actions in multiple directions (innovation, policy, industry, authorities, society) in line with EIT RM Agenda, Greek National Mineral Policy and SIP of EIP. The aim of the Regional Center Greece is to become the central RIS for Greece and Cyprus.
