Collaborative Research Center 920 (IKGB-TUBAF) 22-23/08/2017 – “Inorganic materials for use in the foundry technology”

On behalf of the Collaborative Research Center 920 “Multi-Functional Filters for Metal Melt Filtration – A Contribution toward Zero Defect Materials” the Institute of Ceramic, Glass and Construction Materials (IKGB) of Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg, has invited Dr. Antonia Ekonomakou and M.Sc. Achilleas Amanatidis for a research stay from 22nd till 23rd of August 2017. The main goal was the exchange of knowledge and cooperation in the field of “Inorganic materials for use in the foundry technology”.

Both in.mat-Lab’s scientists gave lectures for professors, post-docs, and Ph.D. students, involved in the CRC 920, referring to their experience in the field of Industrial Minerals and more specifically on Bentonite and Perlite and their numerous applications, focusing on their present use in the foundry technology and the challenges for the future.
