News on Project LiCom-Perl, a national co-funded project – Furnace optimization

Title of the project is: “Development of lightweight composite materials with upgraded physicochemical functionality and improved economic feasibility”

The aim of the research is to formulate the morphology of the substrate and, in combination with the coating conditions, to optimize the physical and chemical properties of the coating layer, the physicochemical reactions and ultimately to maximize the economic benefits.

In.mat-Lab is running extended expansion tests designed for the furnace optimization and for all kinds of grades. Even in the range of microspheres, there are operating factors affecting LBDs and other physical characteristics of an investigated perlite quality.
