in.mat-Lab is announcing the colaboration with “EIT RawMaterials – Regional Center Freiberg”.
The TU Bergakademie Freiberg (TU BAF), together with the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden Rossendorf (HZDR), is one of the core partners of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), located within the Knowledge and Innovation Community EIT RawMaterials (KIC EIT Raw Materials). The main aim of the EIT is to improve sustainable growth and competitiveness within Europe through enhancing the innovation capacity of the EU Member States. In September 2015, the foundation was laid for the creation of the “EIT RawMaterials – Regional Center Freiberg”. The office is playing a vital role in fostering the regional promotion of science and research as well as public and professional education. “EIT RawMaterials – Regional Center Freiberg” is currently coordinating three projects in the field of further education, one of them is called EIT RawMaterials CLC East Professional School. Together with a consortium of partners from the EIT RawMaterials community, they are organizing and planning various courses within this project.
Dr. A. Ekonomakou and Mr. A. Amanatidis, on behalf of in.mat-Lab, will be the presenters of a professional training course with the title “A House of Perlite”. The course is for professionals who want to:
- Get familiar to perlite as an industrial mineral and its applications
- Understand the intrinsic characteristics and the key properties of this industrial mineral in relation to its potential applications and
- Become familiar with the peculiarities of the expansion process for the different qualities of perlites in each sector of final application
